Pumpkin Smash [Cottonwood Urban Farm]

Join us for our Annual Pumpkin Smash on Saturday, November 30th, from 10 AM – 12 PM at Cottonwood Urban Farm, and help turn your pumpkin back into nutrient-rich soil. Composting your pumpkin nourishes the Earth, reduces waste, and supports a healthier environment.

What to Expect:

  • Meet our staff and learn about the incredible work happening at Cottonwood Urban Farm, where thousands of pounds of food scraps are transformed into nutrient-rich compost each week.

  • Then, it’s time to smash those pumpkins and add them to the compost pile!

  • Stick around to volunteer (no experience needed) or explore the hub and the beautiful farm.

Important:

Please ensure your pumpkins are free of paint, glitter, or any non-organic materials before composting.
