Community Compost Hubs

Community Compost Hubs are located in gardens, schools, and parks. Some Community Compost Hubs also require members to sign an agreement before joining and volunteer at the site to continue their membership. At this time there is no monetary cost for joining. Advantages of joining a Community Compost Hub are flexible drop-off hours, access to finished compost, and connection to a community of fellow composters.

See the map on the right for locations or the listings below!

How it Works:

  • STEP 1

Sign up for a Compost Co-op Location from the list below that is most convenient to you! You will receive an email with further instructions.

  • STEP 2

Collect your food scraps and other accepted materials at home.

Tip: Just freeze it! Storing your food scraps in your freezer prevents bugs, smells, and also makes foods scraps easier to breakdown.

  • STEP 3

Take your food scraps to the Community Compost Hubs where you are registered.

  • STEP 4

Make a plan to complete the two required volunteer events needed to maintain active Compost Co-op membership status.
