Join us for our Annual Pumpkin Smash on Friday, November 8th, from 10 AM – 11:30 AM at CultivaLA Farm, and help turn your pumpkin back into nutrient-rich soil. Composting your pumpkin nourishes the Earth, reduces waste, and supports a healthier environment.

What to Expect:

• Meet our staff and learn about the incredible work happening at CultivaLA Farm, where hundreds of pounds of food scraps from community members are transformed into nutrient-rich compost each week.

• Then, it’s time to smash those pumpkins and add them to the compost pile!

• Stick around to volunteer (no experience needed) or explore the hub and the beautiful farm.

Important:

Please ensure your pumpkins are free of paint, glitter, or any non-organic materials before composting.
