Join us for our Annual Pumpkin Smash on Friday, November 15th, from 3:30 PM – 5 PM at Carver Middle School Garden, and help turn your pumpkin back into nutrient-rich soil. Composting your pumpkin nourishes the Earth, reduces waste, and supports a healthier environment.
What to Expect:
Meet our staff and learn about the incredible work happening at Carver Middle School, where hundreds of pounds of food scraps from community members are transformed into nutrient-rich compost each week.
Then, it’s time to smash those pumpkins and add them to the compost pile!
Stick around for a community potluck—bring a dish to share if you’d like, though it’s not required—or take some time to explore the hub and enjoy the garden.
Important:
Please ensure your pumpkins are free of paint, glitter, or any non-organic materials before composting.
