Join us at the Community Soil Lab at Cottonwood Urban Farm for our monthly Lab Lesson! If you're passionate about simply understanding how soil works, our Community Soil Health Lessons are for you. Offered every second Saturday of the month, these engaging workshops dive deeper into the biology, chemistry, and physical properties of soil, helping you understand the science behind what makes healthy soils thrive. October Lesson Topic - Electrical conductivity (EC):

The EC of your soil or compost is related to both salt content and fertility. We will talk about how this impacts your soil health and garden health, how to interpret EC readings, what to do about saline soil, and demonstrate our EC meter. Bring your soil or compost samples to get an EC test!
