Grounded Wellness: For the Love of Bugs (Carver Middle School Garden)

  • Carver Middle School Garden McKinley Avenue & East 46th Street Los Angeles, CA, 90011 United States (map)

About the Workshop:

Join us for "For the Love of Bugs," an exciting bug workshop at Carver Middle School Garden! In this hands-on session, we’re bringing the bugs to you, giving you the chance to see live insects up close. Facilitated by FoodED, you'll learn about the vital role bugs play in our ecosystem, fun facts about these fascinating creatures, and their importance in composting. We'll sift compost, do some garden maintenance, and connect with the environment through interactive exploration. This family-friendly event welcomes all ages. Come and enhance your knowledge while having fun!

About our partner: LA Compost has a long-standing partnership with Carver Middle School through activation of the school garden. This garden has become a hub for community and resource sharing in the South Central LA. We encourage people from South Central LA and surrounding communities to join us at "Grounded Wellness" events and connect with this thriving network.
