About the Workshop:

Join LA Compost at Carver Middle School Garden to discover the microbial life in your compost. In this bilingual workshop, we will meet and greet with our decomposer microbes, and discuss what that means for our soil and compost health.

Bring soil or compost samples to explore under the microscope, and we will also check out the compost microbiology at Carver Middle School Garden!

About our partner: LA Compost has a long-standing partnership with Carver Middle School through activation of the school garden. This garden has become a hub for community and resource sharing in the South Central LA. We encourage people from South Central LA and surrounding communities to join us at "Grounded Wellness" events and connect with this thriving network.
