How You Can Get Involved

Donate and directly support the creation of healthy soils.

DONATE

Managing and maintaining community composting sites takes resources such as tools, materials, and staff time. As a small community based organization, individual donations are used directly to make this work happen.

Get Involved from Anywhere

  • MakeSoil is a nonprofit online platform that matches ‘Soil Makers’ (people who compost) with nearby ‘Soil Supporters’ (people who contribute scraps).

  • ShareWaste connects people who wish to recycle their kitchen scraps with their neighbours who are already composting, worm-farming or keep chickens. Helps you divert waste from landfill while getting to know the people around you!

  • ILSR’s mission is to build an American economy driven by local priorities and accountable to people and the planet. Their website has many resources for home and community composting.

  • Our collection of resources created by our team are not specific to any region or area. Take a look and share what you learn with us on social media by tagging @lacompost!
